Hi ! my name is
Linda Drotos, and my husband’s name is Joe. I would like to tell
you a little about ourselves ,our Arabians and how we got started.
Farafra Arabians is located outside a small farming community of
Tilley, Alberta. Our closest shopping center is Brooks, about 20
km, west of Tilley. Farafra Arabians is named after the Farafra
Oasis in Egypt. On a dry summer, when the grass is dried out,
which happens quite a lot around here, I have had people tell that
our farm looks like an oasis in the desert, hence the name. We
farm about 1100 acres and raise our hay and grain to feed the cows
and the horses. We have approximately 150 cows, calves , feeders
and 41 Arabians and Partbred Arabian horses. My horses are raised
in a quiet , friendly atmosphere and have the freedom to run,
play, eat and grow and they love to have people around them.
Please feel free to come and visit or just inquire about them.
Visitors are always welcome. I would like to thank all the people
that have made all this possible and for a dream come true. A
personal thank you goes out to my Best Friend and Buddy, Lynn.
Without her encouragement and advice I would not be where I am
today. I would also like to thank Virgina Taylor of Falvirles
Farms Arabians who also gave me a lot of help and sold me my first
2 Straight Egyptian horses VT EL Ruan, and VT Hubbarah Moon. Both
these horses are Blue List Al Khamsa. And a very special thank you
to my husband Joe for his patience and support.
